The phones are going faster than they are coming, only one store in each of these states are listed as having one type of the models: Florida, New Hampshire, California and Michigan. So if you take into account that some store list phones that didn’t work out of the box as available, the Apples Stores may well be out of stock today.

The trick with that is that apple.com only reports what stores have stock when the close. However all 3 of the apple stores in portland have gotten fresh stock every day since the launch. I had to get my iMac repaired and so I was in a few times last week and in the afternoon my store had 5-10 models every day. but sold out by closing.

But more arrived each night so most people who came in got one. We upgraded my wifes iPhone on friday afternoon and they had 10 more at that time. But the apple.com site said the store I went to had none because they sold out of stock the night before.
