Two new eCommerce sites driven by Ruby on Rails. 5
While I was zipping a drink at the pool in Spain and visiting friends and family in Switzerland, the team at Gatelys.com was busy designing and configuring two new ecommerce stores using the Rails eCommerce platform I worked on while a Gatelys. And they have many more ecommerce sites to come.

Rails is open for some serious business.
Note that most of the logos, graphics and layouts are done by Lomax which is the best graphic designer I know. Now if only I could find a way to hire him away :-)

I wish sleekspaces could put their customer service on rails also.. It is the worst customer service I have ever received in my life.
Hi Sony,
I was not working for Gatelys as an employee, I was ‘just’ developing the system for them, so I can not speak for them. First I am sorry to hear you had a bad experience with their customer service. I know they are currently restructuring the sales and customer service in an effort to give agents more ownership in the process. So maybe that’s part of your issue. The application they use in the back office is also build with Ruby on Rails and shouldn’t be part of the issue. While a was working in their office to develop the application we where working next door to the customer support and they where working hard to answer all customer requests and resolve their issues. Now I am working with another customer on a different project. Hope things will work out for you and thanks for sharing your experience.
Hi
I’m currently looking for a Rails ecommerce framework, to jump-start a site I’m going to make.
Roughly when do you think your product will be available?
